MYRONE Records Live Racing Soundtrack with iRig HD 2 in a Moving Car

Making the song, “Ski Resort 87” for video game: Drift Stage

Check out the viral video that just hit the internet from GearGods.net and GuitarWorld.com, about recording a song in a moving car for a car-racing video game in production, called "Drift Stage". MYRONE recorded the guitar track while cruising down the Pacific Coast Highway in California, USA. "I've had more problems with other interfaces in big budget studios than I had with the iRig HD 2 in a car speeding down the highway. It was literally plug and play right out of the box with zero hassle. I was so relieved that I ended up nailing the performance on the first take, on my iPhone!"

About the making of the song, “Ski Resort 87”, from GearGods.net:

“The man known only as MYRONE is not only the hero of the genre known as ‘softshred’, he’s also the architect behind the music of the game ‘Drift Stage’ (currently in development), a retro racing game that will out-neon your auntie’s leg warmers from 1991. To celebrate the release of the game’s soundtrack we decided we needed to pull off a crazy driving stunt of our own, so we did some drifting down the Pacific Coast Highway in a borrowed convertible while MYRONE deftly played through the track ‘Ski Resort 87’ – in one complete take, with live audio recorded straight into his iPhone using IK Multimedia’s iRig HD 2.  What you see is what he played, and he did it on the first try.”
