"Beautifully designed and multi-capable, offering guitar, bass, microphone or keyboard input, the unit is a worthy successor to the iRig Pro."
Macworld Australia's expert reviewer, Keith White, is a long-term keen IK user and so he simply could not wait to get his hands on iRig Pro I/O as he'd been using its predecessor, iRig Pro with great results for several years now. He was most impressed by the new additions to iRig Pro I/O and concludes it to be a very worthy successor to an already great product.

"Beautifully designed in rugged but soft to touch black plastic the unit sits very easily in my hand. There’s even a Velcro strip so I can strap it to my mic stand."
"As a bonus the unit comes with a truckload of free IK software including AmpliTube, SampleTank, T–RackS Deluxe and Mic Room. An infinite variety of powerful sounds."
"So let’s give it a run. I connect the iRig Pro I/O via USB to my iMac and fire up GarageBand which immediately recognises the unit. I then set up a guitar recording track and choose from a range of amps which GB offers me. As expected, it all works beautifully. Nice clean sound when I want it or grunge if I prefer. No hum or added noise. I’m getting 24-bit/96 kHz sound – that’s studio quality. The LEDs let me know where I am on the volume scale and and the gain control is quick and easy to use."
Keith's final verdict was:
"Beautifully designed and multi-capable, offering guitar, bass, microphone or keyboard input, the unit is a worthy successor to the iRig Pro."
